two weeks with a Style Wars. If you haven't heard Style
Wars is a cross country competition taking place in NY, LA, Miami. San
Francisco and Chicago where designers can compete in "Style Battling".
There are $1,000's in prizes and the all important exposure for the
winners.

Before there was Project Runway, New York fashion gurus House of Diehl
created their own brand of star-making fashion as live
entertainment—using the audience as models and recycled-anything as
material. Their renowned Instant Couture™ shows have taken place around
the world for thousands of people. Now Mary Jo Diehl and Roman Milisic,
collectively House of Diehl, are calling on aspiring designers,
stylists, creatives, and style mavens to compete in Style Wars: The
Style Battle Championships, a fierce fashion-creation competition to be
staged in front of a live audience.
Inspired by MC battling and haute couture, Style Wars presents 8
contestants in each city who will cut, tape, burn and drape to create
new fashion items from vintage garments and unexpected materials, while
their fans in the audience shoot, model, and cheer them on.
It’s WWD meets the WWF, Project Runway meets Iron Chef , staged to the pulsing beat of today’s hottest DJs.

Those wishing to compete in Style Wars must register at
http://www.moli.com/stylewars no later than September 29. Participants
must upload photos and videos showcasing their talent and style. From
these entries, 8 Style Battlers will be chosen to compete each city,
selected by celebrity judges based on style, creativity, and comments
and feedback from the general public.
Participants will be judged by an incredible panel of celebrity style
makers, including musicians like Princess Superstar and Casey Spooner
(FischerSpooner), legendary photographer Mick Rock, Whitney Museum of
Art curator Shamim Momin, Style Network’s Jess Zaino, Julie Fredrickson
(founder. Coutorture.com), Alexander Allen (Celebrity Stylist),
Georgina Graham (Beauty Director, Tank magazine), Aaron Hicklin
(Editor, Out), Laura Schreffler (New York Daily News), and Heidi Minx
(Designer, Franky and Minx).
The champion in each city wins cash, prizes, and an invitation to
participate in the Style Wars Grand Finale, to take place later this
